Feed your mind.

There simply is no reason why we cannot defy age-related stereotypes and protect our cognitive abilities. It is important to stimulate your mind by continually learning new things. Reading, doing puzzles, exploring creativity are all ways to maintain and protect cognitive abilities.

It is important to note that exercise keeps the blood flowing to the brain.  We don’t want things getting stagnant anywhere in our bodies or minds! Emotional health also helps with brain function.  Express yourself, journal, feel your feelings, find a professional to talk to if this is what you need. You are important, all of you.

Maintain healthy and uplifting social networks. Above all, create positive and affirming language for yourself and your journey. What you tell yourself every day will either lift you up or knock you down.
